Zendaya has put forth a sexy, modern take on the power suit.
Yesterday, the Emmy-winning actor attended the opening of the Bulgari Hotel Roma in Rome. She turned heads with an elegant black suit from Valentino, which was comprised of a black blazer and palazzo trousers both completely doused in shimmering specks of white. For her top, Zendaya wore a black see-through mesh tank top embellished with glittering crystals. She finished off the look with a pair of classic black pumps. single-strand diamond earrings, an array of diamond rings, and a wraparound diamond watch.

Later, on her Instagram Story, the Euphoria star gave fans a behind-the-scenes look into her attire for the flashy occasion—and revealed that she nearly didn’t suit up in time for the hotel opening.
Captioning a close-up photo of her outfit, she wrote, “Fun fact...my dress for tonights @bulgarihotels event got lost in transit, so we got this suit an hour before the event.”
She credited image architect and her longtime stylist Law Roach for the ingenious save. “When in doubt...a @maisonvalentino suit :) @luxurylaw,” she added.
As an ambassador for the luxury jeweler, Zendaya can regularly be found amongst the A-list glitterati at Bulgari events.
She last attended the unveiling of Bulgari’s new high jewelry collection in Venice, Italy, where she was accompanied by fellow ambassadors Anne Hathaway and Priyanka Chopra. Then, she wore a black velvet dress—custom-made by Richard Quinn—that featured a draped off-the-shoulder detail, a corseted bodice with buttons running down the center, and a mermaid silhouette. To accessorize, she wore a diamond-encrusted snake Bulgari choker with yellow diamonds at the center.
As an associate editor at HarpersBAZAAR.com, Chelsey keeps a finger on the pulse on all things celeb news. She also writes on social movements, connecting with activists leading the fight on workers' rights, climate justice, and more. Offline, she’s probably spending too much time on TikTok, rewatching Emma (the 2020 version, of course), or buying yet another corset.
